Brighton
Accessible from London Victoria within an hour, Brighton is a vibrant seaside city full of colour and culture. Whitstable
Whitstable is a picturesque beach town on the Kent coast, which can be reached in an hour and 20 minutes from London Victoria. Saint Leonards is a typical British seaside town in East Sussex, which takes around 2 hours to get to from London Victoria. Just down the road from Hastings, Saint Leonards is known for its great antiques and quirky shops; you’re bound to leave with something original! For food, we recommend visiting Goat Ledge, a colourful food stand on the beach, for delicious, locally caught fish baps, an Aperol Spritz or an ice cream.
Dulwich (South-East London)
Dulwich is a leafy neighbourhood in South East London that’s well worth a visit if you’re staying in the centre! The train from Victoria to West Dulwich takes just 12 minutes. Expect to stop in some lovely independent shops, cafés and restaurants and make sure to go for a walk through the charming Dulwich Park. Art lovers should also definitely check out Dulwich Picture Gallery, they have a great collection of 17th and 18th century European paintings.
